Cortes Kiln
This former tobacco kiln is now a stylish farm stay, ideal for couples looking to decompress. Set on a walnut farm, Cortes Kiln is a three-hour drive from Melbourne in the high country, where you will enjoy the small-town charm, great local produce, and the silence of open space. Inside the kiln is a one-bedroom cottage, redesigned with modern trimmings and warm interiors. Enjoy a lush internal courtyard, which opens to the light-filled hallway. The house has been crafted with an open plan in mind, taking advantage of the surroundings. You can slide back the rear wall to reveal views of the property and enjoy outdoor entertaining. Be sure to visit during walnut season, which is from late March to May, to pick fresh walnuts off the tree.
