“Twenty years ago, nine people entered a purpose-built house to be watched 24 hours a day, seven days a week by Big Brother and it changed Australian TV forever.
“This June, Big Brother is back. He’s been watching. And, he’s ready to play.”
Since it’s debut series in 2000, Big Brother Australia has seen many unknowns walk into the house and walk out household names.
Blair McDonagh (Season 1) became a fixture on Neighbours, Ryan Fitzgerald (Season 4) became one-half of the Nova radio duo Fitzy and Wippa, Sara-Marie Fedele (Season 1) became a plus-sized Australian model and Chrissie Swan (Season 3) became a fixture on the talk-show media circuit.
So, it’s no wonder that the reboot has attracted some colourful characters for an experience of a lifetime — or to up their Instagram followers.
The new cast ranges in age from 19 to 61 and from what we can see, it’s going to be fireworks.
