Appearing on ET to talk about the Lizzie McGuire reboot, Hilary Duff got a little emotional when they showed her some old interviews from early on in her career.
Now 32, the actress and singer’s jaw dropped as she saw herself on the original Lizzie set, gasping: “Oh, my gosh. Who is that girl?! Ahh, she’s a baby!”
Laughing at her past self, Hilary said that these days, her time off-set is mostly spent hustling to raise her two children, son Luca, 7, and daughter Banks, 1.
ET then showed Hilary her very first interview with them, all the way back in 1998 when she was just 11 on the set of Casper Meets Wendy.
Asked what she would tell her younger self, Hilary got a little emotional, even tearing up a bit.
“Oh my God,” Hilary began. “I guess I would just be like ‘you’re not gonna believe this ride! You’re not gonna believe what’s going to happen’.”
Choking up a little, she added: “It kind of makes me wanna cry! It makes me emotional.”
She explained: “The days go by so fast, the years have gone by so fast, I have done a lot. And when I see that little girl… I still, obviously, have her inside somewhere.”
