Apple has confirmed it will be holding an event on September 7, which many believe to be when they’ll announce the iPhone 14 and a slew of other product updates.
A couple weeks ago, Apple source Mark Gurman from Bloomberg News had predicted September 7 would be the launch event, with the phones on sale a week and a half later. Gurman had also said he thought Apple would debut new Macs, low-end and high-end iPads and three new Apple Watch models.

So, what can we expect from the new Apple product models?

iPhone-wise, Gurman had said the standard iPhone 14 will look similar to the iPhone 13, though the company will drop the 5.4-inch ‘mini’ version, opting for a 6.7-inch screen model instead. “This will be the first time Apple launches a non-Pro iPhone with a display of that size,” he wrote.
As for the iPhone 14 Pro, he predicted the front-facing camera cutout will be replaced with a pill-shaped hole for Face ID sensors and a hole-punch-sized area for the camera — which will give users slightly more screen space.
The Pro will also feature a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera alongside 12-megapixel ultrawide and telephoto sensors. The Pro’s video recording and battery life will also be improved.
Regarding the Apple Watch, Gurman said the Series 8 will look similar to Series 7, but that Apple will also be launching a new pro model for sportier consumers. It’ll have a larger display, rugged titanium case, new fitness tracking features and longer battery life. For the price-conscious, an Apple Watch SE will also be debuted, Gurman noted.
Software-wise, iOS 16 is currently in beta testing and should also be released in the coming weeks.

Previously, Gurman reported that Apple was working on an upgrade to its HomePod. He said he believed the new version would feature an updated S8 processor and possibly a new multi-touch display on top, and would be released in early 2023. He added that the updates weren’t likely to be “super-impressive”.
Apple has “at least four new smart home devices in its labs, but not all will see the light of the day”, he added.
