‘LEGO Masters’ Is Returning for a New Season and It Involves a Marvel Challenge

LEGO MASTERS Australia is returning for its third season on Monday, April 19 at 7.30 pm and promises to bring new contestants, new builds, new twists and a lot more LEGO.

Hosted once more by Hamish Blake, the popular series will see a fresh batch of teams competing for the title of master builder, as they face new challenges and encounter two new LEGO bricks.

One of the new tasks will see the eight teams race to create a LEGO vehicle that can run on a purpose-built track. The only catch is, there are no wheels in the Brick Pit! Comic book fans will also be delighted to see a Marvel challenge in the mix, where teams must build a moment of impact set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The competitors will also be required to create an elaborate castle — only to have them destroyed by a hurling bowling ball. The teams will have a staggering 3.2 million bricks in the Brick Pit with which to build their incredible creations as they fight for the top title.

As for those two new bricks we mentioned, the teams will have access to the Platinum Brick which will help them gain an advantage (but, of course, comes with a twist), and the new Brick of Doom which is sure to send some shockwaves and disgruntled moans through the competition.

A press statement from Channel 9 enthuses, “Brimming with imagination, creativity and LEGO knowledge, eight teams in pairs will put all their construction skills to the competitive test and build some of the most incredible designs we’ve ever seen.”

Even more exciting is that the teams are all hoping to impress returning judge Ryan “Brickman” McNaught, for the chance to win a cool $100,000.

According to Channel 9, “The eight teams comprise a diverse cast of contestants, all with different skills, ideas and personalities, including a young couple, best mates and a hilarious pair of mothers. LEGO MASTERS Australia will push them to their creative limits with builds of different themes and sizes, and challenges that must be seen to be believed.”

The teams are made up of Amy (33) & Dawei (34), VIC, Fleur (43) & Sarah (47), VIC, Atlanta (26) & Jeff (28), SA, Owen (26) & Scott (26), WA, Michael (25) & Harrison (26), NSW/ACT, Ryan (42) & Gabby (39), VIC, Anthony (20) & Jess (30), QLD and David (41) & Gus (36), VIC.

LEGO MASTERS Australia premieres Monday, April 19 at 7.30 pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
