If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, then boy, do we have good news for you. Network 10 has announced the MasterChef: Dessert Masters cast, and there are some serious competitors in the mix.
MasterChef: Dessert Masters is set to premiere in November, and will take everything we know and love from MasterChef Australia, but focus on giving us… just desserts.
Our 10 competitors are some of Australia’s most renowned bakers, pastry chefs and chocolatiers, and they’ll be competing for the title of Australia’s first ever Dessert Master — along with the $100,000 prize, of course.
Of course, they’ll have to prove that they’re worthy first. Melissa Leong and Amaury Guichon are the MasterChef: Dessert Masters judges who will put our chefs to the test.
“Our cast for Dessert Masters is a loaded-to-the-gills, top-of-the-pops, créme de la créme of Australia’s pastry industry,” Melissa Leong said in a press statement. “I am beyond thrilled — and honoured — to be working with such brilliant, talented and generous people… but boy do I have my work cut out for me!”
In a statement, Amaury Guichon said that he was “so happy” for the opportunity to join the show and experience Australia’s “unique pastry scene”.
“What I’ve experienced so far, I haven’t seen in a long time – a tight knit community of chefs who share great camaraderie, skill and passion for their craft,” he said. “This is a once in a lifetime cast of incredibly talented Australian pastry chefs and it is an honour to be judging them. Their creations are so good, I think the audience will want to lick the television screen!”
Without further ado, let’s meet the chefs who will be competing on Dessert Masters.
