If you can’t get enough MasterChef Australia, then boy, do we have some sweet news to share. That’s right, folks! MasterChef: Dessert Masters is coming, and the premiere is just around the corner.
First announced earlier this year, MasterChef: Dessert Masters will take 10 of Australia’s finest pastry chefs and sweet treat creators and put them to the test. In a series of decadent and diabolical challenges, our chefs will compete to become MasterChef‘s very first Dessert Master. Oh, and the winner will take home a cool $100,000 prize, also.
Melissa Leong and Amaury Guichon will host the series, and if Guichon’s social media posts are anything to go by, viewers can expect to see our contestants put to the ultimate test.

In a statement from Marty Benson, the Executive Producer for MasterChef Australia, earlier this year, fans should get excited.
“Watching Australia’s best dessert and pastry chefs compete in the MasterChef Kitchen in MasterChef: Dessert Masters will deliver some of the greatest sweet treats we have ever seen on Australian TV,” Benson said. “We are incredibly excited.”

Who Hosts MasterChef: Dessert Masters?
Melissa Leong and Amaury Guichon are folks who will host MasterChef: Dessert Masters.
Leong is an Aussie TV host, food writer, and food critic. She was born in 1982 in Sydney, to parents who moved here from Singapore. In 2017 and 2018, Leong co-hosted The Chefs’ Line with Dan Hong and Mark Olive. What’s more, Leong is currently one of the judges for MasterChef Australia, alongside Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo.
“Desserts have the capacity to be magical,” Leong said in a press statement. “I’m excited to see what these talented chefs are capable of when let loose in the MasterChef kitchen.”
Meanwhile, Guichon is a French-Swiss pastry chef known for his pastry designs and chocolate sculptures. He has amassed over 50 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook for presenting such masterpieces to the public. Guichon has made dessert roulette wheels, rocking horses, and skateboards, just to name a few projects.
“I feel very honoured to have been chosen to be part of this wonderful new adventure that will once again highlight our beautiful industry with all its craft and complexity,” Guichon said. “I am excited to discover what the contestants will create in order to wow us!”
