Schitt’s Creek and The Crown Win Big at The Screen Actor’s Guild Awards 2021

SAG

The 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on Sunday, April 4 2021 (Monday, April 5, 2021, AET) and this year — like all of the 2021 award shows — they looked a little different.

While last year the SAGS took place in person (remember that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt reunion moment) this year, due to the global pandemic, the ceremony was aired as a completely pre-recorded event.

With winners in 15 categories, The Crown, Schitt’s Creek and Ozark all took home big awards, while Chadwick Boseman was once again honoured with a posthumous award for his turn in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom alongside his colleague Viola Davis.

Anya Taylor-Joy continued her incredible streak winning Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for The Queen’s Gambit while The Trial of the Chicago 7 took home Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
