‘The Bachelors Australia’: Jacinta Is on the Hunt for Her Soulmate

Well, folks, The Bachelors‘ summer of love is finally here, and this season, things are going to be different.

Past seasons of The Bachelor Australia have featured helicopter dates over Sydney’s picturesque harbours, where our Bachelor would woo his date for the day. Then, they’d head back to the candle-lit mansion dripping in fairy lights for an elaborate Rose Ceremony, where each week, he’d whittle down the women vying for his affection one by one.

This season, all of that is changing.

First, and perhaps most importantly, there are three Bachelors — Jed McIntosh, Felix Von Hofe, and Thomas Malucelli — looking for love this year, and if the promos are anything to go by, at least one of them will pop the question by the end of the series.

Secondly, the show has relocated to Queensland’s sunny Gold Coast. The girls are residing in a waterfront mansion, but there’s not a twinkle light or candle in sight, promising a sleeker, more modern version of the show than we’ve seen in past seasons.

Finally, the promos show a more dynamic, less linear path to love, for both our Bachelors and the girls in the mansion. As we’ve seen, there are girls who reject our Bachies, and some who may be keen to switch Bachelors along the way.

All in all, it’s set to be an exciting season, and with the first promos introducing the women vying for our Bachelors’ hearts dropping, it’s time to get to know them.

One of the women vying for Thomas’ heart on The Bachelors Australia this year is 30-year-old Jacinta from NSW.

When asked why she thinks she’s still single, Jacinta mused: “That’s the million dollar question, isn’t it?”

In a press statement, she continued: “I like to say I’m single by choice — I really know what I’m looking for in a partner and also what I have to offer, so I won’t settle out of fear of being alone or just wanting company. I truly believe my soulmate is out there in this world and I won’t commit until I meet him.”

Jacinta counts herself lucky, as she’s been in love before, and said that “it was definitely all the cliches you hear about when discussing your ‘first love’.”

“We were very young and went through some really difficult times together,” she said.

Crediting her ex for helping to shape her into the woman she is today, Jacinta added: “I grew from that experience and the pain of the breakup into a really strong and confident woman, who knows exactly what she wants, and importantly, deserves”.

The person Jacinta is today is someone who prides herself on being smart and spontaneous, as well as witty, and she notes that her native language is sarcasm. Full of life, Jacinta feels that she personifies the saying ‘big things come in small packages’.

As for dealbreakers, narrow-minded people are a no-go for Jacinta, who believes that the world is far too large, and life is far too short to spend one’s time surrounded by people who spread negativity.

If Thomas and Jacinta are going to spark up a romance, he’ll need to have a good sense of humour and understand the importance of family — coming from a big Lebanese family, Jacinta is the eldest of 27 first cousins, which is a lot of people to win over!

Will Thomas be the soulmate that Jacinta is looking for? Only time will tell. Until then…
