If you love love, if you love sexy singles, if you love glamorous European destinations, boy, does 10 have a show for you!
Where’s Bachie gone? No one knows. Instead, 10 is giving us a brand new dating show that’s essentially Love Island on a boat, and to be honest, we’re into it!
The Real Love Boat takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see our contestants travel the seas — visiting picturesque locations in Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro along the way — as they search for a lasting love match.
One of our hopefuls on board for love this season is 30-year-old single dad Jay Bonnell, from NSW.
“I definitely am at that point in my life where I am looking for a partner,” he said in a promo released by Network Ten, adding: “I am a dad, and my daughter is my whole world.”

Bonnell is a social enterprise manager who lives in Wollongong, and he believes he has a lot to offer a potential partner, should the right person come along.
He’s hoping that there’s a likeminded soul on The Real Love Boat for him to connect with — someone who’s confident, sentimental, determined, adventurous and fun. On the other hand, he is mildly concerned that his stubbornness will perhaps drive any potential love interests awasy.
In a press statement, Bonnell described his dream date.
“[It] would include a sunset, a winery, and a few good drinks,” he mused. “Or a dinner with live music, and a game of pool.”
Hosted by Darren McMullen, The Real Love Boat also features Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier — who Bravo heads will recognise from Below Deck Mediterranean — as well as Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody, and Princess Cruises’ Captain Paolo Arrigo.
Will any of our singles find love and never let go? Or will it be a titanic disaster? Only time will tell.
The Real Love Boat airs at 8.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
