The live shows of Australian Idol 2023 kicked off recently. And if you’ve been watching we’ve seen many talented Australians come and go from the Idol stage so far. But we’re sure that no one has had a tougher go than celebrity judges Amy Shark, Kyle Sandilands, Harry Connick Jr, and Meghan Trainor — who have had to make some heartbreaking decisions this season.
2023’s Idol started off with a bang with nationwide audition rounds getting at-home audiences and contestants alike, excited about the return of the beloved reality show. From the Top 50 to selecting the Top 12, every stage has been an intense ride full of emotions.
The show’s fans and judges have witnessed some incredible performances from entrants aged 15-28 years old. Phoebe Stewart‘s rendition of Adele’s The One and Only was a tear-jerker that cemented her as one-to-watch. And Royston Sagigi-Baira’s execution of Versace on the Floor was smooth, sultry and would probably make Bruno Mars beam from ear to ear.
But sadly, there can only be one winner who will take home the grand prize of a recording contract with Sony Music and $100,000 in cash.
