Sydneysiders have been plunged into a two-week lockdown in response to a growing cluster of COVID-19 cases, and while we’re maybe a little disappointed to be back here again, a whole year later, we’re thankful for the brands that are coming through for us.
Like knights in shining armour, a bunch of companies are hoping to make our strict stay-at-home orders a little less dull this time around, and are offering discounts and freebies as a means of lifting our spirits.
From food and drink to cheeky vouchers, here’s a running list of the free things Sydney can score in lockdown right now.

Meals for hospo workers, free
In response to the lockdown and its impact on hospitality workers, The Duke of Enmore and The Oxford Tavern in Sydney’s inner west are kindly offering a free meal to affected hospo workers until July 9. It will work on an honour system, so if you’re a hospo worker who has had a shift cancelled or are feeling financial strain from an impacted roster, then you’ll be able to grab a takeaway meal.
