Farmer Wants a Wife is back for 2024, and this year, Farmer Bert is hoping to find the woman of his dreams. A fourth-generation pineapple and dragon fruit farmer from Wamuran, Queensland, Farmer Bert takes great pride in his family farm, but now, he’s looking for someone he can share it with.
On the upcoming season of Farmer Wants a Wife, Farmer Bert is hoping to connect with a woman who’s funny, outgoing, adventurous and friendly. Given the nature of his work, she’ll also need to be pretty understanding, though, as the farm demands long hours a lot of attention. Oh, and she’ll need to secure the approval of Bert’s nanna, or the relationship probably won’t go the distance.
Who Is Farmer Wants a Wife’s Farmer Bert?
Farmer Bert is a man with a lust for adventure. When he isn’t attending to his pineapple farm, he enjoys motorcycling, travelling, and swimming in the ocean. Bert also wants to be with someone who has a similar attitude towards life.
“I want to be with someone who I can smile with through the hardest of times and the longest of days,” Bert said.
According to Bert, he’s a romantic. He will always do his best to demonstrate how he’s feeling.
“My love language is acts of kindness,” Bert said. “I sometimes struggle with my words but prefer to show how much I care about someone through my actions. When I’m in a relationship, I will go to the ends of the earth for them, as long as they are willing to do the same for me.”
“I believe everyone is capable of loving. But finding it is not as easy as anticipated. I believe when you are truly in love there are no doubts and you are not just there for one another, you are a team.”
In five years time, Bert hopes that his farm is sustainable enough that he can travel around Australia. Ideally, he’ll go on this adventure with a partner by his side.
