“Celebrate the season McCallister-style, ya filthy animals. For the first time ever, one crew of mischief makers can book a holiday in the timeless house where the Home Alone story began (without the interruption of pesky intruders),” Airbnb wrote in a post to Instagram.
Your evening will be hosted by Kevin’s big bro Buzz McCallister (played by Devin Ratray), who said in a statement: “You may not remember me as particularly accommodating, but I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home – my pizza, even – with you this holiday season. Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.”
Yes, the tarantula will be there, and he’s offering meet and greets! Legends only.
Of course, your Home Alone experience wouldn’t be complete without some key features, so the lucky group who manages to snag the one-night-only booking will get to enjoy the house in all its glory.
The house will be decked out with Christmas decorations and a gorgeous tree, perfect for the most iconic IG photos you could ever dream of.
Then, there are the booby traps that are absolutely crucial to a proper Kevin McCallister experience. Don’t worry, though! You’ll be setting the traps, not getting tangled up in them!
The bathroom is stocked with aftershave, because, of course it is!
For dinner, you can enjoy iconic Chicago pizza, and if you’re truly dedicated to recreating the full experience, you can enjoy some Kraft mac and cheese over candlelight. Honestly, that sounds kind of perfect?!
Finally, guests will get to enjoy a screening of the latest Home Alone film, Home Sweet Home Alone.
Of course, if you’re keen to snag this opportunity, you’d better have Adele-concert level booking skills, because this is a one time, one night kind of deal. The house will host up to four guests for the night of December 12th, for the very low price of USD$25 ($34.94). Bookings open at 6am AEDT on December 7th.
