We’ve all sat watching MasterChef Australia, eating Uber Eats while critiquing the hopeful home cooks. “I’d never do that!” we’ve declared while watching contestants try to evade capture on Hunted Australia. “This is what I would do,” we’ve declared, while watching Australian Survivor. But could you make it to the end of The Bridge Australia?
In The Bridge Australia, 12 strangers are tasked with building a 330-metre bridge, in only 17 days. If they’re successful and actually manage to work together to complete the bridge in time, they then have to select one person to cross the bridge and retrieve the $250,000 prize that’s hidden on the island. That person then has the ultimate decision to make: do they share the winnings with their fellow competitors, or keep it all for themselves?
It’s part social experiment, part physical challenge, and of course, heavy on strategy. Additionally, when it first dropped in 2022, it was a hit with fans of Australian Survivor and the new iteration of Big Brother Australia.
And of course, this reality competition series is full of twists. Over the course of the 17 days, flares were set off, which alerted the players to new twists and turns in the game. The first to get to the site of the flare’s landing point scored the privilege — and responsibility — of controlling the game’s next twist.
Here’s everything you need to know about tuning into the series that folks are still talking about.
