The holidays are here, and along with all the good stuff comes a high risk of the bad stuff. While going out to one party after another can be fun, that’s not to say that it doesn’t take its toll eventually. Between rushing around to different social occasions, to the stress of planning family get-togethers, our immune systems tend to take a hit during this busy time of year.
The good news, however, is that there’s an easy way around this. As I was beginning to feel a tickle in my throat a few days ago, I hopped onto the ever-reliable Pinterest to help me find an easy way to fight off sickness throughout the holidays. I came across a smoothie recipe that looked equally promising and delicious, and the best part is: I haven’t felt sick again.
Created with ingredients that specifically support the immune system, this smoothie is refreshing, invigorating, and best of all tasty. Not to mention, it will help you hit your recommended five-a-day, so that sounds like a win-win situation. Keep reading to find the recipe I followed from 24 Carrot Kitchen, and whip one up yourself for a healthy holiday season.
