British royal and fashion icon Duchess Catherine has been spotted wearing a floral dress from affordable Australian label Faithfull the Brand.
The mother-of-three was pictured wearing the summery garment while visiting The Nook children’s hospice in Norfolk, where she helped to pot plants, herbs and flowers in a courtyard garden. As such, her floral dress was fitting for the affair.
Named the ‘Marie-Louise Midi Dress’, the v-neck garment features puff sleeves with elastic detail with a cinched waist that creates a flattering empire silhouette. With a textured lilac background, the fabric features spring-inspired blooms in bright yellow, white teal, and orange.
Of course, royal watchers are familiar with the ‘Kate Middleton effect’, that usually involves the immediate and global sell-out of any item the Duchess wears. And the Marie-Louise Midi Dress is no different.
The piece has already sold out on Net-A-Porter, Revolve, and Selfridges — likely the work of enthusiastic UK and US-based buyers.
In Australia, though, it’s still possible to find the garment online.
Limited sizing is available in the Marie-Louise Midi Dress on The Iconic for $199, while some smaller, more independent boutiques still have the dress in stock. Like Duchess Catherine, you may have to do some digging to find one though.
Good luck!
