Today was the day, folks! The 96th Annual Academy Awards has come and gone, and we’re here to honour the 2024 Oscar winners.
To no one’s surprise, Oppenheimer stole the show. This film was nominated for 13 Oscars and won seven prestigious awards. The Oppenheimer sweep included a Best Picture win, a Best Director win, a Best Actor in a Leading Role win, and a Best Actor in a Supporting Role win.
However, Oppenheimer wasn’t the only movie to dominate the 2024 Oscars. Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things also cleaned up, winning four different awards. This film won awards for Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Emma Stone also won the Best Actress award for depicting the young Victorian woman Bella Baxter.
