‘Star Wars’ Fans Can Soon Stay at the Galactic Starcruiser Hotel — If They Pay $6k a Night

Star Wars Hotel Price

In a move fit for accommodation inspired by one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time, Disney has released a movie trailer for its one-of-a-kind hotel.

The Galactic Starcruiser is a two-night immersive experience at Walt Disney World in Florida that promises to be “part live immersive theatre, part themed environment, part culinary extravaganza, part real-life role-playing game.”

As you might imagine, an experience like this is not going to come cheap, with the lowest pricing option clocking in at USD $4,809 for two guests. That price includes a standard cabin, all food and drink — excluding alcohol for which you pay extra — and then immersive activities such as lightsaber and bridge crew training.

If you’re a family of four, you’re looking at a minimum spend of USD $5,999.

Keep in mind, those prices are for the standard options, so expect to pay more if you are looking for some luxury.

No exact prices have been announced yet for the hotel’s Galaxy Chess Suite, which includes two windows, instead of one, looking out into “space”, nor for the Grand Captain Suite (which, according to Disney, “features a posh living space,” a second bathroom, three windows and “a few extra Star Wars surprises”) but you can bet your bottom dollar they will cost a pretty penny.

Because the entire experience is designed to make you feel as though you are truly a character in the Star Wars canon universe, there are only 100 total cabins and suites.

It also means that upon arrival at the “terminal,” you’ll complete your earthly tasks and then enter a launch pod that blasts you off into space toward the Halcyon ship for your boarding with the main starcruiser.

Per the hotel’s website, “As the itinerary continues, you’ll take the story further and deeper. Choose your path. Seek out the inner workings of the legendary starship, learn the traditional art of wielding a lightsaber and even jump on a transport to the planet Batuu—where your mission continues at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!”

I mean look, it sounds bloody exciting and that is coming from someone who only just got around to watching Star Wars: A New Hope (Episode IV) this past May 4th (don’t @ me).

The Galactic Starcruiser will open to guests in spring 2022, but an exact opening date and when reservations will be open have yet to be announced.

Perhaps it’s fortunate that Australia’s international borders are closed for the foreseeable future because we’re going to need some time to save up for this one.
