The Haunting of Hill House is still giving fans nightmares, two years on from its release in 2018, and while you may have just found a new way to sleep at night, the team behind the film are releasing the next instalment in the anthology series.
The Haunting of Bly Manor is a gothic romance mini-series based on the ghost stories of Henry James. It is set to premiere on Netflix on October 9.
The nine-episode season is the next highly anticipated chapter of The Haunting anthology series with this one set in 1980s England.
After an au pair’s tragic death, Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) hires a young American nanny (Victoria Pedretti) to care for his orphaned niece and nephew who reside at Bly Manor with the estate’s chef Owen, groundskeeper Jamie and housekeeper Mrs Grose.
But, (shock horror) all is not as it seems at the manor, and centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be unearthed in this chilling gothic romance. At Bly Manor, dead doesn’t mean gone. Talk about chills.
The Haunting of Bly Manor stars Thomas — who became famous for his turn as Elliot in E.T. and Pedretti who starred alongside Penn Badgley in the second season of You.
Alongside them is Amelie Bea Smith and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who play Thomas’ niece and nephew Flora and Miles, Rahul Kohli (iZombie), who plays the estate’s chef, Owen, Amelia Eve (Big Boys Don’t Cry) as groundskeeper Jamie and T’Nia Miller (Sex Education) as the housekeeper, Mrs Hannah Grose.
