Season two of The L Word: Generation Q will land on Stan on August 2, with the streaming platform giving us a tiny hint at what we can expect in a new teaser.
The series, which is based on the critically acclaimed hit The L Word, follows the lives of Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals), Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moennig), Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey), Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Sarah Finley (Jacqueline Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas), Gigi Ghorbani (Sepideh Moafi), and Angelica Porter-Kennard (Jordan Hull) as they experience love, heartbreak, setbacks and success in L.A.
The new season will feature guest stars such as Emmy winner Rosie O’Donnell (SMILF), Donald Faison (Scrubs), Emmy, Academy Award nominee Griffin Dunne (House of Lies, This is Us) and Vanessa Williams (Candyman) who will appear in multiple episodes.
In a 2019 interview with Vulture, Beals, who also starred in the original series, spoke about what she loves most about Bette saying, “I mean, sometimes she just doesn’t learn the lesson. It’s incredible. It’s like, she’s on this never-ending wheel, like a hamster.
“She just keeps repeating the same mistakes over and over again. What I love about her is that she’s actually very big-hearted and unapologetic about her agency and her will.”
The teaser promises that the new season will be just as enticing as the first with plenty of romance, sex, friendship and laughter to look forward to. As the trailer reminds us, “the messy parts of people’s lives are always the most relatable” and, well, we just couldn’t agree more.
The L Word: Generation Q will land on Stan on August 2, the same day as the US.
