Folks, the moment we’ve all been eagerly waiting for has finally arrived! The Voice Australia 2023 has officially crowned its newest champion.
After a season filled with breathtaking performances, emotional journeys, and unforgettable talent, it’s incredible to see how it all came down to four remarkable finalists. Ezra Williams from Team Jess, Tarryn Stokes from Team Rita, Charlie Pittman representing Team Guy, and Ethan Beckton mentored by Team Jason.
But in the finale, it was Tarryn Stokes who managed to come out on top, as voted by the public. Tarryn walked away with $100,000 prize money and a dream-come-true music deal with Universal Music Australia.
When the big moment finally came, Tarryn couldn’t hold back her emotions. She was clearly overwhelmed with excitement and disbelief when the announcement was made, solidifying her as the champion of The Voice Australia 2023.
“It feels amazing, going from The Blinds to being in the Grand Finale and somehow believing that I can do this, it’s just thanks to Rita for believing in me,” she said.
Thrilled, coach Rita Ora replied: “Are you kidding me? You did this. You did this!”
Rita continued: “It’s just incredible, you’re incredible, please answer my phone calls once in a while and just remember this is just the start. I’m so happy for you, well done Australia; thank you so much.”

The Voice Australia Winner: What Went Down in the Finale
In a spine-tingling final solo performance, Tarryn chose to tackle Celine Dion’s iconic ballad, All By Myself, leaving all four coaches in complete awe. Guy Sebastian couldn’t help but gush, declaring her voice to be “just perfection”. Rita Ora echoed the sentiment, adding: “That is hands down one of the best vocals ever to happen on this show ever, ever, ever!”
But the night didn’t end there. In a “moment in history” for Tarryn, Rita joined her on stage for a powerful and unforgettable duet of Tina Turner’s timeless classic, “Simply The Best”. Following her win, Tarryn took to the stage to perform her brand-new single, “Nobody”.
This marks the second consecutive year that Rita has coached a singer to triumph, following Lachie Gill’s victorious journey on The Voice Australia in 2022.
Tarryn’s journey on The Voice Australia 2023 has been nothing short of remarkable. Right from her first Blind Audition, her vocal prowess captivated not only Australian audiences but also coaches Jason Derulo, Guy Sebastian, and Jessica Mauboy. In fact, Rita made a bold declaration from the moment she hit her red chair, stating confidently, “I’ve secured one of the best singers in the competition”.
