She sees her parents’ 30-year marriage as her ideal relationship, but Ashleigh Freckleton has some tough competition to face if she wants that with Jimmy.
The 28-year-old speech pathologist describes herself as the “bubbliest, most enthusiastic, freckle” and applying for The Bachelor was a spur of the moment decision.
“I applied on a whim!” she told POPSUGAR Australia. “I was home alone one evening, sipping wine and frustrated with my (non-existent) love life. I’d just found out my ex got engaged and I’d recently been ghosted, yet again, by someone I thought was a nice guy.”
But despite suffering from heartbreak before, she isn’t afraid to experience it again so long as it means she will eventually meet the one.
“I’m guilty of running headfirst into red flags. But I’ll break my heart endlessly if it leads me to the right person eventually.”
And if there’s one thing she wants us to know about her as we watch the show, it’s: “If I say anything super cringe, just know I am probably cringing along with you!”
Will Ashleigh be the last woman standing?
The Bachelor Australia airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.
