Everyone Who’s Been Banished or Murdered on ‘The Traitors’

The Traitors has landed on Network Ten, so it’s time to get out your magnifying glasses and watch as the mysteries unfold!

Hosted by Rodger Corser, The Traitors is a new competition reality series that takes place in an old hotel, where our Faithful contestants will compete in challenges to win bars of silver, which will total up to $250,000 by the end of the series.

Within The Traitors, there are Faithfuls and Traitors, whose job it is to convince all the Faithfuls that they’re one of them, while picking them off one by one.

If a Traitor makes it to the end, they will immediately win the entire prize to themselves. If a Faithful makes it, they will then be faced with a decision; either split the prize with their fellow Faithful, or keep the whole thing for themselves.

Speaking to The Latch ahead of the show’s premiere, Corser explained that there are two ways people leave The Traitors: They’re either “murdered by a Traitor” in the night, or “banished” by the players at a “Banishment Ceremony” if the Faithfuls suspect them of being a Traitor.

Corser went on to say that because only the Traitors know who the Traitors are, everyone in the show is claiming to be a Faithful. Of the 24 contestants, only four — Nigel, Claire, Marielle and Angus — are actually Traitors, but the Faithfuls don’t know that. This, of course, breeds suspicion.

Unlike other competition reality series’, where there will be one or two eliminations a week, The Traitors is set to move at a breakneck pace. Each episode will see one competitor murdered by the Traitors in the night, as well as one person banished from the game in the Banishment Ceremony, meaning two people will leave the competition each night.
